Mid-Century Kilim Geometric Wool Carpet

Kilims are a type of Oriental rugs that are woven without a pile, manufactured by different nomadic tribes in Persia and Afghanistan. They have beautiful geometric patterns and rich in colors but also very soft and soothing to the eye. The colors of the yarn use natural plants and minerals which creates soft beautiful tones throughout. These rugs have often no real back or front surfaces so can be used on either side. This traditional, tribal style rug features Dark Red, Cream, Brown, and other accent colors. Crafted using the finest hand weaving and knotting techniques and constructed from 100% Wool. Measures 64.5 x 38.5 inches. Though not an expert, my best guess, through research, is mid century or earlier. Very Good to Excellent, collectible condition. No rips or tears, original vegetable dye coloring.
